Key Stage 2 School choir

Our school choir leader is:

Miss Williams: willl1161@mastacademy.co.uk

Our Key Stage 2 choir has been designed to give our All Saints children in Years 3–6 (ages 7–11) the opportunity to develop their musical skills, confidence, and teamwork through singing. It provides a creative and enjoyable way for pupils to explore music, improve vocal technique, and learn about rhythm, pitch, harmony, and performance.

Through regular rehearsals and performances, our choir helps children to build their confidence in expressing themselves and performing in front of others.

We develop teamwork by working collaboratively toward shared musical goals and enhance listening and concentration skills through learning and following musical direction.

It fosters a love of music and the arts, encouraging lifelong engagement.

Finally, it promotes our school community and pride through participation in concerts, assemblies, and wider community events.

In essence, our Key Stage 2 choir nurtures musical talent while supporting personal, social, and emotional growth in a fun and inclusive setting, whilst ARISING and Shining in a creative and exploratory way.

Upcoming events

Harvest festival

For our Harvest festival, our KS2 choir performed the song 'Harvest Tango' in our church, to our entire school, our parents, our Chair of Governors, along with our school reverend.

They practiced during our choir after-school club, along with working together to practice harmonising a cappella during their break times and lunches.

We, as a school, are extremely proud of our choir and the efforts they make to achieve their best and perform.

Christmas

We will be performing during our Christmas service in our church. Plans are already underway, and the children are in discussion as to which Hymn they would like to perform.

We have also been offered a wonderful and exciting opportunity to attend the Medway Music Awards Event (MMA) at Rochester Cathedral in December, along with other local school choirs to perform to the public and parents.

Choir club will remain weekly on a Monday and they will often attend short meetings to discuss the production process.

Details for the MMA's to follow.

We look forward to what incredible opportunities may arise in the near future and thank you for your support.
