This term, Year 4 have had a fantastic time exploring a range of exciting topics and experiences. Our learning journey has taken us through Misty Mountains and Winding Rivers, where we developed our geographical knowledge and deepened our understanding of the natural world.
In English, we thoroughly enjoyed reading King of the Cloud Forests, which inspired thoughtful discussions and some excellent written work - particularly our creative writing. The children showed great enthusiasm for the story and engaged brilliantly with its themes.
Science has been a highlight this term, with the children taking part in a variety of hands-on experiments. They demonstrated curiosity, teamwork, and a real eagerness to investigate and learn more about how things work. We had great fun building a den - ensuring that the materials and method worked. We tested this out by 'moving in' to the mini homes we had built.
One of the standout experiences was our trip to Kent Life farm. The children had an amazing time exploring the farm and especially loved the opportunity to hold an owl—an unforgettable moment for many! The tractor ride was also a highlight.

We also proudly took part in our LKS2 performance of The Boy, The Mole, The Horse and The Fox. The children showed great confidence, creativity, and teamwork, making it a truly special performance.
St Andrew has worked their socks off in preparation for their MTC test fast-approaching in June. Despite the busy term that we have had, the children have kept their times table practice as a top priority. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that they have shown.
Overall, it has been a joyful and engaging term. The children have worked hard, supported one another, and embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm. We are very proud of all they have achieved and look forward to another exciting term ahead.
