Traditional Tales

This term we have been reading different Traditional Tales and have been acting out stories on a stage. We have turned our room in to Hansel and Gretel's cottage. 

We have read Hansel and Gretel, The Tortoise and the Hare, Rumpelstiltskin, The Ugly Duckling, Cinderella and Princess and the Frog. We have acted out these stories, created story maps. As a class we wrote an alternate version of Rumpelstiltskin. We extended the story of Cinderella. The children wrote an alternate version of Princess and the Frog changing the Frog. 

The children have thoroughly enjoyed this topic, acting out stories and creating their own.
