This term our theme has been traditional tales. The children have thoroughly enjoyed acting out and creating their own stories. 

We have read Hansel and Gretel, The Ugly Duckling, Rumpelstiltskin, The Tortoise and the Hare, Cinderella and the Princess and the Frog. We have acted out these stories, created story maps. Wrote our own version of Rumpelstiltskin as a class. We extended the story of Cinderella and individually wrote a different version of Princess and the frog changing the frog. 

We have turned our classrooms in to Hansel and Gretel's cottage, created a stage to act out our stories and used puppets to act out our own stories and the stories we have been learning using our puppet theaters.
