In English, we enjoyed reading Fantastic Mr Fox and How to Help a Hedgehog. These engaging texts inspired some fantastic writing. The children wrote imaginative dilemma stories, carefully building tension and developing exciting plots. They also produced persuasive letters, using convincing arguments and persuasive language to express their ideas.

In Science, we explored animals, including humans. We learnt about nutrition, skeletons and muscles, investigating how our bodies move and how different animals are adapted to survive. The children showed great curiosity, asked thoughtful questions and worked well together during practical investigations.

The children, in our Art lessons, explored the colourful collage work of Pete Cromer. They created their own striking animal collages, carefully layering shapes, patterns and vibrant colours to produce eye-catching pieces of artwork inspired by different predators. It was wonderful to see their creativity, attention to detail and growing confidence with collage techniques.

In Computing, the children designed and created their own interactive games inspired by our topic. They enjoyed planning their ideas, creating engaging game features and sharing their finished games with their classmates. It was fantastic to see their imagination, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the project.

Overall, it has been a busy and engaging term. The children have worked incredibly hard, supported one another and approached every activity with enthusiasm. We are very proud of all they have achieved and wish everyone a happy and restful summer break.
