This term we have been learning about dinosaurs and seasons. 

Dangerous Dinosaurs

The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about dinosaurs. We have explored fossils, made our own salt dough fossils. They have pretended to be paleontologists, digging up plastic dinosaur bones and fossils, brushing the sand off. We have learnt about carnivores and herbivores, predator and prey. We created volcanoes, one with cola and mentos looking at how it reacts. We also made our own volcanic reactions with bicarbonate soda and vinegar. The children enjoyed creating there own volcano eruption. 

Seasons

We have compared winter and summer and spring and autumn. We have played with snow, collected water looking at how much it has rained everyday. We have made pictures for different seasons, looked at the clothes you wear in each season. We had a special puddle day the children enjoyed jumping up and down in puddles. We have made sun catchers.
