St Anne
Term 4: Rocks, Relics & Rumbles
This term, the children have developed their knowledge about the different parts of volcanoes, identified rocks from the Earth's crust and have learnt what a force is in science with fantastic experiments in the classroom! St. Anne have been sketching ammonite fossils and looking into the work of Fibonacci and how his discovery of spirals have contributed to architecture around the world. Unsurprisingly, St. Anne have also enjoyed writing diary entries and newspaper reports as if they were in the 79AD Pompeii eruption of Mount Vesuvius alongside some great acting. Furthermore, St. Anne have been reading The Firework Maker's Daughter by Philip Pullman whereby they have loved unpicking some adventurous vocabulary and stealing it for their own writing. Take a look at some of our amazing learning below!
