In Foundation Stage the children learnt about ‘Our Big Wide World’. 

The children enjoyed learning about where we live and looking for England on globes and in atlases, they also enjoyed telling us about where some of their family members live and looking for these countries on globes and in atlases as well.  The children looked at different habitats around the world and made comparisons of these against each other, looking at the weather and animals that could be found in each of these places. 

The children finished off the topic with a ‘Cultural Party’, where we celebrated our family’s heritage.  The children dressed up in their cultures traditional clothing and shared some traditional food, that they eat at home, with their friends.  The children enjoyed joining in with some cultural dancing.
