Nursery
This term the children have been learning about The Big Wide World. We have explored Australia, India and Africa, finding out about animals, food and more from different places. We have looked at the world map to see where these different places are and thought about how to travel to them. The children also discovered what lives Under the Sea, and created colourful art work of different sea creatures.
In addition, the children have learnt about recycling and how to sort different materials. They have been reusing rubbish to make art and interesting things. We have explored the seaside and what we can find at the beach and enjoyed building sandcastles. There has been lots of singing and dancing to theme related songs, as well as weekly musical instrument sessions.
In maths children have continued to build their understanding of numbers to 10, and learnt to create two-coloured alternating patterns as well as exploring shapes. In phonics they have recapped their sound knowledge too, from our Read Write Inc scheme.
We have had an amazing year, and say Goodbye to our children venturing into Reception, and look forward to welcoming new children in September.
