In terms 1 and 2, we learnt about Britain at War during both the First and Second World Wars.  We discovered how each war started and about how different countries formed alliances.  We discovered that some children were evacuated to the countryside.  We thought about how we would feel about that.  In Literacy, we wrote a non-chronological report about being evacuated and also a diary entry and letter home to our families.  We have discussed how emotive the wars were and how survivors found it difficult to interact with society after the war.  We also read about Anne Frank and enjoyed reading our class text of Goodnight Mr. Tom.
