In Foundation Stage the children learnt about ‘Sunshine and Sunflowers’.

The children enjoyed planting lots of seeds and flowers and learnt about what they needed in order to grow well.  They have all become excellent at remembering to water the flowers!  They also enjoyed looking for bugs and have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to watch our tiny caterpillars, change into chrysalis and then develop into beautiful butterflies.  They listened to the story of the Hungry Caterpillar and wrote their own recap of the story.

To finish off the term the children took part in an enterprise week, where they took part in voting for the charity they wished to raise money for and then developed their business skills by baking and decorating many cakes!  Which they then sold to raise money for their chosen charity.
