St Andrew
St. Andrew have been blown away by this topic!
Firstly, the children loved writing diary entries as if they had been sailing down a river from another continent and describing all the amazing, or even dangerous things they had seen.
They looked at the process of the water cycle and wrote informative explanations about how the process occurs.
Furthermore, they practiced sketching mountains using atmospheric perspective was a highlight for St. Andrew and learning about the classification of living things on Earth whereby they created their own classification keys of creepy crawlies or plants!
Without a doubt, they investigated the three states of matter with exciting experiments involving ice and even chocolate! This was by far their best topic! We had so much fun pretending to be particles in the different states of matter. we loved every second of our melting and freezing process using chocolate, heat and ice!
Obviously, all of the children also shined in our LKS2 production of the 'Minotaur' with some beautiful solo singing and dramatic acting performances. Everyone is looking forward to our next topic, '1066', which has a focus on the Normans.
