This term our topic is 'Gallery Rebels' and we have been exploring the many paradigms of art across history from impressionism to expressionism. He started with the basics, by exploring colour and understanding how these are built through ink testing. We were engrossed in creating our ideal colour pallets by comparing complementary and harmonious colours. In RE, we explored Islam and had the opportunity to solidify our learning through interactions with artefacts. This not only allowed us to cement what we had discovered so far this term, but take a reflective look at this religion and its' culture. it was particularly helpful to have Muslim classmates to help lead and explain each piece as we were immersed in our topic.
