This term, St Martha have been exploring the Victorian era and the great Revolution. We have learnt about the industrial revolution and what life was like for children. Victoria's reign involved many fascinating events such as the Great Exhibition and the development of inventions such as lavatories and the telephone. We have also discovered great social reformers who aimed to improve society for all. These include: Charles Dickens- through the release of his novels; Florence Nightingale- who established clean hospitals and Dr Barnardo, who developed orphanages.
