St George
On Values Day we worked together to discuss the dangers of drinking and smoking and to consider what makes a healthy diet and lifestyle. The lovely Mrs Keen also popped in to show us how to get someone into the Recovery Position. As part of our Stargazers theme we were interested in investigating how a crater is formed. We conducted an experiment using marbles and flour to find out what effect weight and height, or velocity had on creating a crater. In RE, St George discussed sacrifices and how far they would go to do the right thing for something or someone they loved. Most of the class demonstrated that they would go a very long way to help someone in need. St George had a great time making their rockets, which they had designed after looking at the Space Race and examples of real-life rockets.
