St Peter & St Paul
This term our theme was Ready Steady Grow. We had a lot of fun with this theme and learnt a lot. We have been very lucky to have some special visitors. We had chicken eggs, the children watched 4 chicks hatch and grow. We also had caterpillars, we watched them turn into chrysalis then butterflies. We released them into the foundation garden. We explored the life cycles of butterflies and chickens. We learnt the names of baby animals and explored the differences in features of baby animals and the adults.
We have planted fruit and vegetables in our garden and we learnt how plants grow and what they need for life. We experimented by putting seeds in different conditions to see which seed grew the most. We explored the life cycle of a plant and the importance of bees. We learnt about poisonous plants and the importance of not eating berries without asking an adult.
